<<--------New button to the left

I've added 2 links where my patterns can be purchased. Both sell them for the same price. One you can download. The other you get paper and page saver sleeve.

Right now only Mary

Mary online

is available at The Knitting Vault. More may be added later.

All are available at Ewe Knit Kits. I've got to figure out how to put the pictures on the sidebar.

The Norwegian Spring of Wallis

We've (Ewe Knit Kits) have always carried Dale of Norway/Dalegarn's Baby Ull and supporting pattern books. But after a two very very successful fair isle classes and requests for more stranded knitting patterns, we're adding to our inventory.

Bobbie mentioned on Saturday that Martha, our sales rep for Dale and other lines, would be stopping by the store on Thursday morning at 8:30 and did I want to come in and pick out patterns and yarn? Me? Spend someone else's money buying yarn and patterns? To force myself to look through the massive binders of booklets and yarn samples? Of course I did!!!!! So what if Bailey had a vet appointment that I had to change. So what if it was raining. So what if it was during rush hour traffic.

What did I get to order? Well sweaters, hats, kids stuff...the basics.

But then came the Pillow patterns! Have you seen them? They're not on the Dalegarn site so let me find some links for you. Here and well, I can't find the other. They've been out for a while..year or so.

And I chose colors of Falk...lots of them. Some to match my living room.

And to make the whole Norwegian experience complete, I've scheduled classes for the Spring to include a class on the pillows and then one where the student gets to choose their own pattern!

It's going to be a pillow filled spring!

What's for lunch?

One of the first pieces of Tupperware I purchased was a lunch box. Sometime in the early 70's. It was red. Had several pieces that all fit nice and neat inside. A square, a rectangle, a circle and another piece I can't remember.

Just learned of this site LapTopLunches.

And from a simple box in which to pack your lunch came this Lunches

I love it!

I have been remiss

I've known about The Walker Treasury Project for a few weeks but have failed to mention it here. So a big Thank You to Maureen for mentioning it on her Blog.

In fact, I pulled out the first BW book last night to find a stitch to use to test this years KnittaPalooza colors. Terry owner of The Purled Llama, brought several more choices to Ewe Knit Kits & Yarn on Saturday in her "Sol" a DK wt superwash. I didn't hesitate when Bobbie asked me if I wanted half the skein to take home and test. The colors are very earthy. Burgandy, reds, browns, natural. Very very different that the last several years which were bright oranges, greens and purples.

If you didn't know, The Purled Llama dyes several of her yarns for KnittaPalooza in an exclusive color. A skein of this will be going home with me. It's time for a new "My Favorite Shawl"

Which by the way, is a new pattern from the WallisKnits label. It's being tested now. Pictures soon.

Overheard....

...while waiting for an appointment.

TallThinGal to ShortThinGal: Would you like to share a poptart?

ShortThinGal: Sure

Cabinet door heard opening, microwave humming and then a beep. TallThinkGal returns.

TallThinkGal to ShortThinGal: Here's your half. Thanks for splitting it with me. A whole poptart fills me up.

I am now craving poptarts. Not a half of one, but a package of two. Brown sugar and cinnamon without frosting. And a glass of milk.
