It's Wednesday

Tuesday is over. It was a frustrating day at mortgage-paying-job. I am looking forward to Sept 27 when I begin a 1 week stay at home and get things done vacation. I've made an appt with my Finance Gal. I'm hoping she'll tell me that with the money in my 401K I can retire in January and live happily ever after. I doubt it though.

Got a call from Dr. P's office that my glasses that will render me capable of seeing what's on my laptop screen without squinting or pushing it so far across my desk that I can't reach it to type were ready. So ran that's not the right words..sat in tunnel traffic for 30 min and then through Portsmouth traffic out to his office in Western Branch...put the cute purple glasses on and couldn't see a thing. The eyeglasses adjuster lady says..I haven't adjusted them..silly me, I didn't know bending the ear piece thingy would make me be able to see clearer. Nope, no change. So after a few minutes of closing one eye and then the other she figures out that instead of making the left lens (which I really don't need much correction in for reading thank you very much!) was made with a - vs. a + so yes I was right, I couldn't see out of them. So, I get to do the same thing next week. I have GOT to find a closer eye person.

But I did get a good hair cut on Monday! Picture Diane Sawyer's short cut but with dark hair.

On the knitting front...the baby blanket and hat are off to my neice. She sent me a picture of her belly yesterday. She's huge. They now think she'll deliver the first week in Oct vs. later in the month.

Saturday I was minding my own business, counting needles for inventory, and the regular group of knitters (they have no official name) that meet at Ewe Knit Kits several times a week asked me if I would teach them some patterns from Nicky Epsteins Knitting on the Edge. I said sure, but you'll have to buy the book. Most of them already owned it. So beginning Oct 3rd, every other Saturday morning will be dedicated to a chapter from the book. Week 1 is RIBS. I've got a few swatches knitted up already. It's been an interesting process. Going through the book and selecting the patterns. Here's the class info:
