Using a drop spindle, she spun the roving into lace weight wool. Then added a few pattern repeats of my "Mary" to knit this beautiful shawl.

and another....

Kiki was my partner in yarn/fiber shopping this past year. We hit Maryland Sheep & Wool, the Fall Fiber Festival in Montpelier and Stitches East. She's now looking for her first easy Fair Isle sweater pattern. Anyone have a suggestion?

Does she want an allover FI sweater or one like she has on - just the yoke in FI. If she wants the latter, why not try the one in EZ's Knitting Workshop? That was my first one that ... wasn't a disaster.
