AccuWeather reported this morning on 2WD that it more than likely and highly probable that Jeanne will turn and head for the east coast and land somewhere along North Carolina and that Hampton Roads will be hit. Plan on Sunday into Monday. Well, I guess there goes my plans of preparing the back garden for winter early next week. But maybe Jeanne will blow off all the leaves and I won't have to rake this fall!
I'm making my vacation to do list:
see Financial planner
wash winter walking the dog coat
work in the garden
go to the movies
check out the LYS
(hmm, wonder how the bullets and numbers work on blogger? it will only number/bullet the first paragraph)
On the knitting front...I grabbed a skein of Rowan Calmer from the bin the other week and started a sample for Ewe Knit Kits. Finished it last night. Shows up the stitches well and blocked nicely. I'm not a cotton fan, but this has a nice give.
By the way, if you're in the area Ewe Knit Kits has all yarns with a cotton content on sale...15% off at the register. Sale will last about a week.
I bought Jamieson's Simply Shetland last week. Now I'm looking for the Jamieson's yarn. DK weight. I fell in love with Sweet Violet the little sweater/jacket in the front of the book at TNNA. The one with the ruffles on the butt....I'll leave off the ruffles. I think a greeny color would be nice. Or maybe since it's called Sweet Violet I should just stick with that color.
